Delegation from the Unaerp Law program participates in a Congress in Lima/Peru

Coordinator Sebastião Silveira speaks during the ceremony of his investiture as honorary professor at Universidad San Martin de Porres.

Professor and coordinator Sebastião Sergio da Silveira and teachers from the Law Undergraduate Program and the Graduate Program in Collective Rights and Citizenship participated, on the 6th, 7th and 8th of September, in the V International Congress of RIPSS – Iberoamerican Network of Research and Social Security, in Lima / Peru. On that occasion, the coordinator was installed as honorary professor at Universidad San Martin de Porres, in the same city.

At the opening ceremony of the Congress, professor Rafael Tomaz de Oliveira, professor and director of DEPE – Directorate of Teaching, Research and Extension at Unaerp, gave an explanation about the importance of the Network for research and the construction of knowledge about Law, especially in the areas of public policy, in Ibero-American countries.
The 5th Congress also had a Master Class taught by professors Sebastião Silveira and Rodrigo Monteiro Pessoa. The themes were “Migrations and Human Rights”, on the 7th, at Universidad de San Martín de Porres. The program also included the lecture “International Journey: Brazilian and Peruvian Law”, given by Unaerp professors in partnership with professor Cesar Abanto Revilla, from the Universidad de San Martín de Porres.

Also, on September 6th, the Unaerp Delegation visited Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola, a partner institution in Peru. On the occasion, professors had the opportunity to visit and learn about the campus infrastructure, discuss joint projects and teach two Master Classes, with the coordinator being Prof. Dr. Sebastião Sérgio da Silveira and Prof. Dr. Rodrigo Monteiro Pessoa on the themes “La Efectividad de las Conquistas Constitucionales y la Consolidación de la Democracia en Brasil” and “Migración y Seguridad Social”, respectively.
