On the 14th and 15th of April, the Graduate Program in Environmental Technology at Unaerp held the mini-course “Aerosol Technology and Air Quality”, taught by Professor Paolo Tronville from the Polytechnic of Turin (Polito), Italy. According to Professor Murilo Innocentini, Program coordinator at UNAERP, the short course is part of an initiative that seeks to bring international speakers to share their experience from abroad, with the aim of complementing the course content. “During the pandemic, Professor Paolo was a reference in the evaluation of face masks for Covid and today he is conducting a short course on indoor air quality and the evaluation of filters, which is an important aspect for us to guarantee our safety”, Murilo said.
Open to the community, the short course was carried out in a hybrid way, through the Google Meet platform, with the participation of students from the Program, from the Chemical Engineering course and educational institutions from abroad.
The student of the Graduate Program in Environmental Technology, Ellen Francine Rodrigues, says that the discussion of the subject is of great relevance for any professional, engineers or in the environmental area. “It’s an extremely important topic, a multidisciplinary area, especially nowadays when we think about developing new processes that don’t have so many environmental impacts”, she points out.
