UNAERP PHYSIOTHERAPY PROGRAM GETS MAXIMUM RATING AT ENADE 2019

The Physiotherapy program at Unaerp – University of Ribeirão Preto has good reasons to celebrate the result of Enade 2019. The maximum concept, 5, obtained by students in the test held at the end of last year proves the excellence of this bachelor’s degree, which was implemented 34 years ago.

Along with this maximum score of Physiotherapy, the undergraduate programs in Medicine, Pharmacy, Nutrition, Physical Education and Production Engineering reached concept 4. The result was released on Wednesday, 21, by the National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (Inep / MEC). Evaluations with grades 5 and 4 obtained in the last eight years have kept Unaerp in the list of the best private Brazilian universities. The annual concepts attributed by the Ministry of Education (MEC), which include the National Examination of Courses (Enade), in addition to other assessments made by the government agency, is the main indicator of the quality of Brazilian higher education. The assessment is a complete photograph of the undergraduate education level.

For the Physiotherapy program, the maximum score reflects the Institution’s investment and the technical-scientific competence of the course’s faculty. The pedagogical project proposes to train a professional capable of providing care at all levels of health care such as promotion, prevention, intervention, maintenance, rehabilitation / habilitation and social reintegration. The teaching methodology prioritizes the student’s practical training. To this end, the state-of-the-art infrastructure includes the school clinic, recognized as a complete free and specialized physiotherapy center in the region.

Last year, according to Unaerp Social Balance, Unaerp’s Physiotherapy clinic carried out 15,985 visits to patients from the Unified Health System – SUS (Brazilian public health system) organized by the Health Department of Ribeirão Preto. The student of the 7th stage of Physiotherapy, Lorena Lataro Bernardes da Silva, works at Clínica-Escola (school clinic) and feels rewarded for helping to promote the well-being of patients, while studying and learning. “We have here at Unaerp the opportunity to be with these patients, benefiting them. It is an achievement for the patient and also a very great achievement for me. ”, she says.
